Section 26(1)(i) in Bihar State Universities (Patna, University of Bihar, Bhagalpur and Ranchi) Act, 1960

(i)The Head of the University department concerned, who shall be the Chairman and where there is no such Head of the University department, one of the Heads of the College departments mentioned in item (iii) shall be the Chairman, by rotation, in the manner prescribed by the Statutes ;
