The Madras Port Trust (General Provident Fund) (Amendment) Regulations, 2006Published vide Notification No. G.S.R. 47(E), 3rd February, 2006Ministry of Shipping, Road Transport and Highways(Department of Shipping)(Ports Wing)G.S.R. 47(E). - In exercise of the powers conferred by Sub-section (1) of Section 124, read with Sub-section (1) of Section 132 of the Major Port Trusts Act, 1963 (38 of 1963), the Central Government hereby approves the Madras Port Trust (General Provident Fund) Amendment Regulations, 2006 made by the Board of Trustees of Madras Port Trust as set out in the Schedule annexed to this Notification.

2. The said Regulations shall come into force from the date of publication of this Notification in the Official Gazette.

Schedule

Chennai Port TrustIn exercise of the powers conferred under Section 28 of the Major Port Trusts Act, 1963 (38 of 1963), the Madras Port Trust Board hereby makes the following Amendment Regulations :-

1. Short Title.

- These Regulations shall be called the Madras Port Trust (General Provident Fund) (Amendment) Regulations, 2006.

2.

These Regulations shall come into force from the date of publication of the Regulation in the Official Gazette.

In the Madras Port Trust (General Provident Fund) Regulations, 1997, the existing Regulation "5-Provident Fund Reserve Fund" shall be deleted.Foot Note :Principal Regulations :The Madras Port Trust (General Provident Fund) Regulations, 1997, approved by Central Government and notified the in the Gazette of India vide Ministry of Surface Transport's Notification No. G.S.R. 282(E) dated 27-5-1997 and subsequently amended vide Ministry of Shipping, Road Transport and Highways's Notification No. G.S.R. 51(E) dated 17-1-2000.
