21. Obligation regarding maintenance and repair of boundary marks.
(1)Every tenure-holder shall be responsible to maintain and repair at his cost the boundary marks lawfully erected in his holding or on the boundary thereof.(2)The [Gram Panchayat] [Substituted 'Gram Sabha' by U.P. Act No. 4 of 2016, dated 11.3.2016.] shall be responsible to maintain and repair as its cost the boundary marks, other than those mentioned in sub-section (1), lawfully erected in the villages situate within its jurisdiction.
