Section 12(2) in The Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya Act, 2000
(2)The Academic Council shall consist of the following members :-(a)the Vice-Chancellor;(b)the Secretary, Department of Agriculture, Government of West Bengal, or his nominee;(c)the Dean of each Faculty;(d)the Director of Research;(e)the Director of Extension Education;(f)the Director of Farms;(g)two persons having special knowledge in agricultural education, research and extension education, to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor;(h)two Heads of the Departments from each Faculty, nominated by the Vice-Chancellor on rotational basis;(i)three Professors of the University, to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor, and four Teachers, not below the rank of Reader of the University, to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor in such a manner that each Faculty shall have at least one member;(j)one post-graduate student nominated by the Central Students' Union of the University;(k)The Registrar.
