Section 18 in The Assam Co-operative Societies Act, 1949
18. Member of unlimited society to furnish information as to his financial position.
(1)A full true and accurate statement of his assets including his immovable properties and liabilities shall be furnished-(a)by an applicant for membership of a registered society with unlimited liability, together with his application;(b)by a member of registered society with unlimited liability when required to do so by the Registrar or any person authorised by him in this behalf or by the affiliating society.(2)No member of a registered society with unlimited liability shall be a member of more that one such society.(3)A member of a registered society with unlimited liability shall furnish to the society full, true and accurate information regarding his intention to transfer his immovable property, in whole or in part by way of sale, mortgage or gift at least fifteen days before completion of each such transaction.
