1. It is submitted that on 03.06.2019 extension of approval is granted by the AICTE for the software development subject with an intake of 50 students for the year 2019-20. The University has also granted affiliation with an intake capacity of 50 students for software development subject. The approval of extension granted by the AICTE is also communicated to the Director of Technical Education by the AICTE. The respondent No.3 has issued the impugned communication 1 of 2 ::: Uploaded on - 06/10/2020 ::: Downloaded on - 07/10/2020 02:53:28 ::: 53-wp-6782-20 2 imposing penalty of Rs.16,20,000/- on the ground that the petitioner has admitted 21 students in excess in software development and 15 students more in interior design than the Government approved intake. It is further submitted that for interior design subject, the approved intake by the AICTE is 25 students. The petitioner has admitted only 15 students. The respondents are contending that no students were permitted in the interior design subject. Even the same is intimated to the respondent Nos. 2 and 3.
2. Issue notice to respondents, returnable on 23.11.2020. Learned A.G.P. waives notice for all respondents.
3. Till then, no precipitative action shall be taken against the petitioner pursuant to the impugned order.
