Education (for short, the ‘AICTE’) continued till the year 2008. On 29th
April, 2008, the appellant sought ... application dated 24th May, 2008 to the Regional
Office of the AICTE seeking its permission to shift the college to the new
premises and also
India Council for Technical
Education (hereinafter called the 'AICTE') There was an inspection by a
team of Professors of the University ... appellant would be sufficient
for establish-ing an Engineering College. The AICTE sent a communication on
30.4.1995 stating that on the basis of the observations
correspondence education course from JRN Rajasthan
Vidyapeeth which is not recognized by AICTE. Therefore,
they are not qualified……….…...Learned Sr. Counsel Mr.

on 6th October, 2010 wherein the AICTE has categorically
stated as under:
“It has been the policy
India Council for
the Technical Education [hereinafter referred to as AICTE] to start a
department for imparting a course or programme in technical
education ... Technology, Petrochemical Engineering &
Technology, Pharmaceutical Engineering and Technology, etc., the
AICTE filed a Writ Petition No.14558 of 1998 before the Madras High
Court

Council for Technical Education (‘AICTE’, for short) made Regulations dated
05.03.2010 in the purported exercise ... powers under Sections 10(1)(v)
and 23(1) of the AICTE Act (52 of 1987). Those regulations deal with the
