Section 41B(1) in THE PUNJAB MUNICIPAL CORPORATION LAW (EXTENSION TO CHANDIGARH) ACT, 1994
(1)The Wards Committee shall, at its first meeting in each year, elect one of its members who is a councillor to be Chairperson:Provided that where a Wards Committee consists of one ward only, the councillor representing that ward in the Corporation shall be the Chairperson of that Committee.
