Section 3 in Tamil Nadu Music and Fine Arts University Act, 2013
3. Establishment of University.
(1)For the development of music and fine arts and for furthering the advancement of learning and prosecution of research in music and fine arts, on and from the appointed date, there shall be established a University by the name, "The Tamil Nadu Music and Fine Arts University".(2)The University shall be a body corporate and shall have perpetual succession and a common seal and shall sue and be sued by the said name.(3)The headquarters of the University shall be located within the limits of the Chennai city or in any place within a radius of hundred kilometers around those limits.
