Section 272 in Gauhati Municipal Corporation Act, 1971
272. Prohibition of accumulations of offensive matter.
- No person -(a)Shall throw or place any rubbish, offensive mater or sewage on any street or in any place not provided or appointed for the purposes under the provisions of this Act; and(b)Who is the owner or occupier of any land or building shall allow any sewage or offensive matter to flow, soak or be thrown therefrom or keep or suffer to be kept therein or thereupon anything so as to be a nuisance to any person or negligently suffer any receptacle or place for the deposit of offensive matter or rubbish, on his premises to be in such a state as to be offensive or injurious to health.Regulation of Factories and Trades
