(1)There may be all or any of the classes of riflemen specified in the table hereunder, namely :-TABLE

Combatants	Non-combatants
1.Subadars-Major.	1.Hospital attendants.
2.Subadars.	2.Cooks.
3.Jemadars and Transprt Jemadars.	3.Water-carriers.
4.Havildars-Major.	4.Cart-men.
5.Havildars and Defadars.	5.Range-warders.
6.Nalbands.	6.Barbers.
7.Naiks.	7. Washer men.
8. Lance Naiks.	8.Sweepers.
9.Buglers, riflemen and mule drivers.

and such grades in each class as the Central Government may from time to time direct.
