(1)Period of Training: The period of training for M.D. shall be 3 years after full registration including one year of house job [***] [Omitted vide H(PGDC) Amendments Regulations, 2001.].(2)[ Method of Training: The emphasis should be on bed side/practical training and not on didactic lectures alone. The candidates shall take part in seminars, group discussions, clinical meetings. The candidates shall be required to write a dissertation with detailed commentary which shall provide the candidate with necessary background of training in research methods and techniques along with the art of writing research papers and learning and making use of library. The candidate shall be given graded responsibility in the management and treatment of patients. He shall participate in teaching and training of undergraduate students or interns.
