The Bhagalpur Municipal Corporation (Division of Bhagalpur into Wards) Rules, 1983Published vide Notification No. S.O. 274 dated 25th February, 1984S.O. 274 dated 25th February, 1984. - In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 9 read with clause (h) of sub-section (2) of Section 540 of the Patna Municipal Corporation Act, 1951 (Bihar Act XIII of 1952), as applied to the Bhagalpur Municipal Corporation in notification no. S.O. 572, dated 24th April, 1981, the Governor of Bihar is pleased to make the following rules the same having been previously published as required by sub-section (1) of Section 543 of the said Act, namely. -

These rules may be called the Bhagalpur Municipal Corporation (Division of Bhagalpur into Wards) Rules, 1983.

(1)Bhagalpur shall be divided into thirty seven territorial wards for the purposes of the preparation of electoral rolls for the wards and conducting elections of the Councillors from such wards. One Councillor shall be allocated to every such wards.
(2)The thirty-seven wards and boundaries thereof shall be such as are specified in the schedule hereto annexed.Population and Boundary of Proposed 37 Wards of Bhagalpur Municipal Corporation
