38. Fisheries Sciences Research -
(1)The University may establish and maintain one or more Fisheries Research Stations for conducting research, both fundamental and applied in all branches of Fisheries Science, in addition to the maintenance of institutions which stand transferred to the University. The Board shall appoint, in the manneras may be prescribed,a person who had expertise in Fisheries Science as the Director of Research. The Director of Research shall institute, guide and coordinate all Fisheries Science Research and be responsible for the efficient working of such Research Stations.(2)The University may, at any time, with the approval of the Government close down, either permanently or temporarily any of the Fisheries Research Stations specified in sub-section (1).
