Section 170(1) in The Goa, Daman And Diu Land Revenue Code, 1968
(1)Every revenue or survey officer not lower in rank than an Awalkarkun acting as a revenue court shall have power to take evidence and to summon any person whose attendance he considers necessary, to be examined as a party or to give evidence as a witness or to produce any documents, for the purpose of any enquiry which such officer is legally empowered to make; and all persons so summoned shall be bound to attend either in person or by an authorised agent, as such officer may direct, and to produce such documents as may be required.
