5. Objects of the University. -
The University shall be established with a view to fulfilling the following objects, namely: -(1)making provision for imparting education in different branches of study in agriculture, horticulture, [agricultural processing engineering, terrestrial and aquatic animal sciences,] [Words substituted by W. Act 21 of 1996] forestry, agricultural engineering, home science and other allied branches of learning and scholarship;(2)furthering the advancement of learning and prosecution of research, in agriculture and other allied sciences;(3)undertaking the extension of educational programme in the field of agriculture to the rural people of the State; and(4)such other purposes as the University may from time to time determine.
