Section 5(1) in Gujarat Metropolitan Planning Committees Rules, 2016
(1)For the purpose of holding election of the member of the committee the Metropolitan area shall be divided into constituencies, namely:-(i)rural area comprising of the area of Gram Panchayats,(ii)smaller urban area comprising of area of Municipalities / Nagarpalika and Municipal Councils, and(iii)larger urban area comprising the area of the Municipal Corporation.
