Section 18(1) in The Competition Commission of India (General) Regulations, 2009
(1)Where the Commission is of the opinion that a prima facie case exists, the Secretary shall convey the directions of the Commission to the Director General to investigate the matter and furnish a report to the Commission on or before the date specified therein.
