18. Powers and functions of the Chairperson.
- The Chairperson shall have the following power and function, -(i)to preside at all meetings of the Technical Committee, unless prevented by reasonable cause.(ii)to grant temporary contractor work permit as specified in note-1 of Schedule-I.(iii)to issue provisional licence on recommendation of Member Secretary, to the contractors who are eligible and having request pending due to not holding of Technical Committee's meeting. However, information of issuance of such provisional licence shall be given to the Technical Committee as soon as possible for final decision.
