14. Appointment of Assistant Returning Officer (Municipality).
(1)The Election Commission or when so authorised by the Election Commission, the District Election Officer (Municipality) may appoint one or more persons as Assistant Returning Officers (Municipality) to assist the Returning Officer in the performance of his functions.(2)Every Assistant Returning Officer shall subject to the control of the Returning Officer be competent to perform all or any of the functions of the Returning Officer.
