Section 1 in The U.P. Resin and other Forest Produce (Regulation of Trade) Act, 1976
1. Short title, extent and commencement.
(1)This Act may be called the Uttar Pradesh Resin and Other Forest Produce (Regulation of Trade) Act, 1976.(2)It extends to the whole of Uttar Pradesh.(3)(a)Chapters I and III shall be deemed to have come into force on October 4, 1975.(b)Chapter II-(i)shall be deemed to have come into force on October 4, 1975 in Almora, Naini Tal, Pithoragarh, Chamoli, Garhwal, Tehri-Garhwal, Uttar Kashi, Dehra Dun, Bareilly and Saharanpur Districts; and(ii)in the remaining areas of Uttar Pradesh, shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Gazette, appoint in that behalf, and different dates may be appointed in relation to different such areas.
