(1)Notwithstanding anything contained in Statute 15, the Board of Governors may invite a person of high academic distinction and professional attainments to accept the post of a National Professor/Distinguished scientist/Visiting professor or any other equivalent academic post in the University on a respectable remuneration and terms and conditions as it may deem fit, and appoint the person to such post.
