Section 29(1) in The Chennai Corporation Servants Conduct Rules, 1968
(1)No person employed in any Corporation service or post in connection with the affairs of the Corporation shall apply for private employment or signify his willingness to accept such employment without having previously obtained the permission in writing of the appointing authority in respect of the post which he is holding :Provided that in the case of any such person who is on leave preparatory to retirement, such permission may be given by the appointing authority in respect of the post.
