Section 6 in Bhagar Grading and Marking Rules, 2018

6. Method of packing.

(1)Bhagar shall be packed in new, clean and dried jute bags, cloth bags, poly woven bags with inner lining of food-grade material or poly pouches, high density poly ethylene bags of food grade material/packing material as approved by the Adviser in accordance with the General Grading and Marking Rules,1988.
(2)The packing material shall be clean, sound and free from insect, fungal infestation which shall safeguard the hygienic, nutritional and organoleptic qualities of the bhagar.
(3)The containers including packaging material shall be made of such substances which are safe and suitable for their intended use and they shall not impart any toxic substance or undesirable odour or flavour to bhagar.
(4)Bhagar shall be packed in pack sizes in accordance with the provisions of the Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Rules, 2011 made under the Act, or in accordance with the instructions issued by the Adviser from time to time.
(5)Each package shall contain bhagar of the same type and of the same grade designation.
(6)Each package shall be properly and securely closed and sealed.
