5. [ Alteration of limits of Municipality. [Substituted by Act No. 11 of 1994.]
(1)The State Government may, from time to time, keeping in view the provisions of sub-section (1) of section 4 and after consultation with the concerned Municipality, by notification in the Official Gazette alter the limits specified for any municipal area so as to include therein or to exclude therefrom such area as may be specified in the notification.(2)The power to issue a notification under sub-section (1) shall be subject to the condition of previous publication.]
