Section 24 in The West Bengal Co-Operative Societies Act, 1983
24. Final authority of co-operative society. -
(1)Subject to the provisions of this Act and the rules, the final authority of a co-operative society shall vest in the general body of its members in general meeting :Provided that in such circumstances as may be prescribed, the final authority may vest in the delegates of such members elected in the prescribed manner and assembled in general meeting.(2)The general meeting of a co-operative society shall be summoned, and the authority of the general body of members thereof shall be exercised, in such manner as may be prescribed.
