13. Power of persons making inquiry under sections 11 and 12. -
(1)The Court, when making an inquiry under section 12 shall have, respectively, for the purposes of such inquiry or investigation, the powers vested in a Court under the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908 in respect of the following matters, namely:-(a)enforcing the attendance of any person and examining him on oath or affirmation;(b)compelling the production of documents or material objections; and(c)issuing commissions for the examination of witnesses.(2)An inquiry or investigation referred to in sub-section (1) shall be deemed to be a judicial proceeding within the meaning of sections 193 and 228 of the Indian Penal Code.
