Section 8(d) in The West Bengal Livestock Improvement Act, 1954
(d)is free from incurable, infectious, contagious or heritable disease, the Livestock Officer shall certify the bull to be an approved bull and cause it to be branded with a prescribed mark and have an identifying number tattooed on its body in the prescribed manner.
