Section 29(1) in The Bidhan Chandra Krishi (Viswavidyalaya) Act, 1974.
(1)There shall be a Director of Extension [Education] [Word inserted by W.B. Act 21 of 1996.] who shall be a whole-time salaried officer of the University responsible to the Vice-Chancellor. He shall be appointed by the Vice-Chancellor with the prior approval of the [Executive Council] [Words substituted for the word 'Board' by W. B. Act 31 of 1981.] and the Chancellor in accordance with the Statutes made in this behalf.
