Section 49(1) in The Calcutta Metropolitan Water And Sanitation Authority Act, 1966
(1)No owner or occupier of any premises to which water is supplied by the Authority shall negligently or otherwise suffer such water to be wasted or shall suffer pipes, taps, works and fittings for the supply of water to remain out of repair so as to cause wastage of water.
