Section 6 in The Merchant Shipping (Medicines, Medical Stores And Appliances) Rules, 1966

6. Poisons.

- [(1) Every medicine indicated by the symbol (P) in Schedule I of indicated as "poison" in column (5) of Schedule II, shall have on its container or wrapping a label with the word "POISON" printed thereon in capital letters either in red lettering or on a red background.] [Substituted by G.S.R. 1384, dated 9th October, 1972.]
(2)All such medicines shall be kept under lock and key in a separate cabinet and the key of the cabinet shall be kept in the charge of the Medical Officer, where such officer is on board, or otherwise in the charge of the master of the ship.
