6. Term of office of non-official members of the Council.
(1)Save as otherwise provided in this Act, non-official members shall hold office for a term of three years from the date of first meeting of the Council.(2)Notwithstanding the expiration of the term specified under subsection (1), an outgoing member shall continue in office until a new member is nominated or elected, as the case may be, and assumes office.
