Section 9(1) in The Maharashtra Education and Employment Guarantee (CESS) Act, 1962
(1)The tax shall be collected -(a)[ in Cantonments by the Collector of the district; and] [Clause (a) was substituted for the original by Maharashtra 26 of 1963, Section 3, Second Schedule.](b)in other municipal area, by the municipality.
