Section 11(1) in Himachal Pradesh Universities of Agriculture, Horticulture and Forestry Act, 1986
(1)The Senate shall consist of the following members in respect of :-(A)The Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishva VidyalayaEx-officio Members(i)Chancellor;(ii)Vice Chancellor;(iii)Secretary (Agriculture) to the Government;(iv)Secretary (Animal Husbandry) to the Government;(v)Heads of Government Departments of Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries;(vi)all Deans and Directors and other statutory officers of the University;Others Members :(vii)two members to be elected by and from amongst the Members of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly in such manner as may be prescribed by the Speaker of the Assembly;(viii)two teachers/Heads of Departments of the University other than Deans/Directors having at least 5 years' teaching experience to be elected in the manner prescribed in the Statutes so as to give representation to the constituent colleges of the University;(ix)one representative of the employees of the University (other than teachers) to be elected in the manner prescribed in the Statutes.(B)DR. Yashwant Singh Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, SolanEx-officio Members(i)Chancellor;(ii)Vice-Chancellor;(iii)Secretary (Horticulture) to the Government;(iv)Secretary (Forests) to the Government;(v)Heads of Government Departments of Agriculture, Horticulture and Forests;(vi)all Deans and Directors and other statutory officers of the University;Other Members:(vii)two members to be elected by and from amongst the Members of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly in such manner as may be prescribed by the Speaker of the Assembly;(viii)two teachers/Heads of the Departments of the University other than Deans/ Directors, having at least 5 years' teaching experience to be elected in the manner prescribed in the Statutes so as to give representation to the constituent colleges of the University;(ix)one representative of the employees of the University (Other than teachers) to be elected in the manner prescribed in the Statutes.
