Section 12(1) in Tamil Nadu Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Rules, 2015
(1)The local authority shall by a notification express its intention to conduct election of the members of a Town Vending Committee representing the street vendors of the area under the jurisdiction of that local authority.
