Section 32(1) in The Tamil Nadu Beedi Industrial Premises (Regulation of Conditions of Work) Rules, 1959
(1)The employer shall provide each employee with a book in Form No.VII (hereinafter called the Leave Book). The Leave Book shall be the property of the employee and the employer shall not demand it except to make entries therein and shall not keep it for more than a week at a time.
