Section 108(1) in The Himachal Pradesh Police Act, 2007
(1)The State Government shall take effective steps to ensure that the average hours of duty of a police officer do not exceed eight hours a day:Provided that for exceptional reasons, the duty hours of a Police Officer may extend up to 12 hours and in that event adequate compensation and facilities shall be provided to the Police Officer.
