Section 8(7)(b) in The National Award for the Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Rules, 2013

(b)The selection criteria for the innovative projects or technology shall be:
(i)Development of an outstanding device, aid or adaptation which substantially improves the chances of the persons with disabilities in receiving education, obtaining or retaining employment and in being totally integrated in the socio-economic life of the community; and
(ii)The effectiveness of the device in increasing the mobility, productivity and employment prospects of the persons with disability, maintainability of the device and its reparability.
