Section 14(14) in Bangalore Mahanagara Palike Building Bye-laws 2003
14.1Projections -(I)Every open space provided either interior or exterior shall be kept free from any structure thereon and shall be open to sky and no cornice, roof or weather shade or chajja more than 0.75 metres wide or 1/3 of open space whichever is less shall over-hang or project over the said open space. These projections shall be permitted within one’s own plot boundaries.(II)No projection shall over hang or project over the minimum setback area either in the cellar floor or at the lower level of the ground floor.
