Section 1 in The Karnataka Professional Education Institutions (Regulation of Admission and Fixation of Fee) (Special Provisions) Act, 2011
1. Short title, commencement and application.
(1)This Act may be called the Karnataka Professional Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission and Fixation of Fee) (Special Provisions) Act, 2011.(2)It shall be deemed to have come into force with effect from 1st day of June, 2008.(3)Notwithstanding anything contained in the Karnataka Professional Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission and Determination of Fee) Act, 2006 (Karnataka Act 8 of 2006), admissions and fixation of fee in an un-aided Private Professional Educational Institution for the academic years 2008-09, 2009-10, 2010-11 and 2011-12 shall be governed by the provisions of this Act.
