54. Sealing of ballot boxes after poll.
(1)As soon as practicable after the closing of the poll, the Presiding Officer shall, in the presence of the election agents/polling agents of the contesting Trade Unions who may be present at the polling station at the time, close the slit of the ballot box and seal and secure it and also allow the election agents/polling agents present to affix their seals on it.(2)Where it becomes necessary to use a second ballot box by reason of the first box getting full, the first box shall be closed, sealed and secured as provided in sub-rule (1) before another ballot box is put to use.
