(2)For the purpose of acquiring such land-(a)the Forest Settlement Officer shall be deemed to be a Collector under the Land Acquisition Act for the time being in force ;(b)the claimant shall be deemed to be a person interested and appearing before htm in pursuance of a notice given under the Travancore Land Acquisition Act XI of 1089 or the Cochin Land Acquisition Act II of 1070 or section 9 of the Land Acquisition Act I of 1894 as applicable to the Malabar district referred to in sub-section (2) of section 5 of the States Reorganisation Act, 1956 (37 of 1956) ;(c)the provisions of the said Acts shall be deemed to have been complied with ; and(d)notwithstanding anything contained in the Land Acquisition Act for the time being in force, the Forest Settlement Officer, with the sanction of Government and with. the consent of the claimant, or the Court with the consent of both the parties, may award compensation in land or partly in land and partly in money.
