Section 126 in The Building And Other Construction Workers '(Regulation Of Employment And Conditions Of Service) Central Rules, 1998
126. Piling, shoring and bracing.
- The employer shall ensure at a construction site of a building or other construction work that-(a)plank used for sheet piling in excavation or tunnelling work is of sound material with adequate strength;(b)shores and braces used in excavation or tunnelling work are of adequate dimensions and are so placed as to be effective for their intended purposes;(c)earth supported shores or braces used in excavation or tunnelling work bear against a footing of sufficient area and stability to prevent the sifting of such shores or braces.
