Section 6(2) in Government Savings Promotion General Rules, 2018
(2)In case the Aadhaar Number or Permanent Account Number submitted by the depositor does not have the present address, the depositor shall submit a certified copy of an officially valid document containing his present address:Provided that if the officially valid document submitted by the depositor does not contain updated address, any of the following documents shall be deemed to be officially valid documents for the limited purpose of proof of address, namely:-(i)utility bill which is not more than two months old of any service provider (electricity, telephone, postpaid mobile phone, piped gas, water bill); or(ii)property or Municipal tax receipt; or(iii)pension or family pension payment orders issued to retired employees by Government Departments or Public Sector Undertakings, if they contain the address; or(iv)letter of allotment of accommodation from employer issued by the State Government or Central Government Departments, statutory or regulatory bodies, public sector undertakings, scheduled commercial banks, financial institutions and listed companies and leave and licence agreements with such employers allotting official accommodation:(v)Provided further that the depositor shall submit Aadhaar Number or Permanent Account number, or a certified copy of an officially valid document containing updated current address within a period of three months of submitting the above documents.
