(1)Whoever contravenes the provisions of sub-section (1) of section 37 or of the rules framed under section 38 or any of the terms of a notification under section 39, shall, without prejudice to any other action under this Act, on conviction, be punishable with imprisonment which may extend to six months or with fine or with both.(2)[ x x x] [Omitted by Act 12 of 1998 w.e.f. 11.5.1998.]
