12. Chancellor of the University.
(1)The Governor of Himachal Pradesh shall, by virtue of his office, be the Chancellor of the University.(2)The Chancellor shall be the Head of the University and shall, when present, preside over at the convocation of the University.(3)Honorary degree shall be conferred by the University upon any person with the approval of the Chancellor.(4)The Chancellor shall exercise such other powers and perform such other duties, as may be conferred upon him, under this Act or the statutes made thereunder.
