(1)Any sum ordered to be forfeited to the Government by an order issued by the assessing authority under sub-section (1) of Section 72 shall be paid either by cash to the assessing authority or by remitting into the Government Treasury or be paid by means of crossed cheque or crossed demand draft in favour of the assessing authority concerned.(2)The assessing authority ordering forfeiture under subsection (1) of Section 72 shall serve a notice of demand on the dealer in Form No. 12 On receipt of the notice, the dealer shall pay the amount due in the manner specified in sub-rule (1) on or before the day specified in the notice of demand.
