Section 12(1) in The Punjab Livestock and Birds Diseases Act, 1948
(1)Every vessel or vehicle used by a common carrier for the transport of [livestock or birds] [Substituted for the word 'animals' by Punjab Act 33 of 1961, Section 4.] shall be cleansed and disinfected periodically in such manner as the [State] Government may by regulations prescribe.
