Section 33(1) in The Indian Post Office Rules, 1933
(1)The weight of an unregistered parcel shall not exceed 4 kilograms; and the weight of a registered parcel shall not exceed :-(a)10 kilograms if it is posted at or addressed to a branch post office and(b)20 kilograms in all other cases.
