Section 8(b) in The Assam Secondary Education (Provincialisation) (Service and Conduct) Rules, 1979
(b)The Assistant Teachers of Assam School Service (Provincialised) cadre shall be promoted to Assistant Headmaster as per list prepared under sub-rule (b) of Rule 4. Similarly, Assistant Headmaster will be promoted to Vice-Principal and Vice-Principal to Headmaster and Headmaster to Principal.
